Those cheesy far-fetched commercials about using marijuana and killing yourself and your friends are produced by the organization, ’Partnership for a Drug-Free America.’
What isn’t very well known is that major alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical companies paid millions of dollars to fund this so-called ’Partnership for a Drug-Free America.’
If we really wanted to remove drugs from our society wouldn’t it make sense to ban the most dangerous drugs first? Alcohol and tobacco kill more people than any other drug in America. Not that they should be made illegal, but this shows how ridiculous it is for them to be targeting a relatively harmless drug; marijuana.

The Wave is a red-rock stunner on the border of Arizona and Utah, made of 190-year-old sand dunes that have turned to rock. L.A. Times photographer Spencer Weiner captured the swirling drama of this little-known formation that’s accessible only on foot via a three-mile hike and highly regulated.
